Following deliberations of Iran Electricity market Regulatory Board to make a competitive electricity market, IREMA specialists decide to establish an Intraday Electricity Market (IEM) enabling the players to manage their electric power mismatches. To do so, a meeting was held in 2019/12/29. Representatives of IGMC System & Market Operator deputies participated in this meeting. Dr. M. R. Hesamzadeh, member of International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) & associate professor of KTH Royal Institute of Technology, made valuable remarks. Within the session, the potential consequences of this development were debated. The Meeting emphasized the vital support and commitment of all IREMA active members to make this happen. Technical issues such as optimization problem objective function, operational generation unit constraints, and billing challenges were investigated.
