From the launch of the capacity certificate market (March 2020) until the end of May 2024, the total volume of capacity certificate transactions in the energy exchange has reached 2342 MW.
According to the report announced by the "Management of off-market transactions" office of the Iran Grid Management Company, 791 capacity certificate transactions worth 63146 billion Rials with a maximum price of 99 million Rials per kilowatt have been transacted.
It is worth mentioning that in May 2024, Tehran Regional Electricity Company issued capacity certificates for small-scale power plants, which Tehran Regional Electricity Company has a guaranteed purchase contract with these power plants. These small-scale power plants are 36, with a total capacity of 81 MW.
