With the launch of the renewable energy certificate trading in the energy exchange, from the beginning of June to the end of November of this year, a total of more than 165 million kilowatt hours of energy produced by renewable power plants with a value of more than 4 trillion rials (about $8 million) have been traded.
The following table shows the average price of green electricity transactions for delivery from July to December 2023.

It is worth mentioning, industries with electricity consumption of more than one megawatt are required to supply the equivalent of one percent of their annual electricity needs through the renewable power plants, and this process is supposed to reach five percent within five years until 2028.
