Transmission Service

Regional electricity companies (RECs) take the role of transmission companies in IREMA.
Based on the regulations, the transmission payment is calculated based on the pre-defined
tariffs for available capacity and also the energy passing through the transmission lines and
power transformers. The tariffs are designated annually to the different transmission voltage
level (lines & transformers).

Availability is a key factor that influences the remuneration of a transmission company. As
is seen in the table 4, it has a great contribution in the total payment to the transmission
companies.
