2. Total Energy Traded in Spot Market

Some portion of the total generated electricity is traded via out of the whole sale market
(bilateral contracts and the energy exchange). Therefore, the amount of energy trade via
the spot market is lower than the total generation. Annual purchased energy through the
spot market, was 295,001 GWh, which shows 4,983 GWh increase compared to the previ-
ous fiscal year. Figure 4 illustrates the volume of electricity trades in a seasonal basis. As is
seen, it represents a similar trend with what is illustrated in figure 1. apacity withholding.
